High Tide is a neighborhood backyard beach party in the heart of South Beach. Step in from the boardwalk for a fresh-pressed juice and something from the grab-and-go cart, or settle into one of our signature yellow rocking chairs and stay awhile. Chef Javier Carballo has put together an all-day menu of flavorful tacos, wraps and salads, while the bar serves up a parade of beachy drinks, local IPAs, light-and-bright wines and more.

Executive Chef Javier Carballo

Chef Javier was born in Uruguay, a tiny South American country with a big culinary reputation. That’s where he absorbed the gastronomic references of his Spanish and Italian grandparents and found a love of cooking at age 12, helping his mom prepare pizza for family movie night. For the past 15 years, Chef Javier has been making his mark on Miami’s food scene. He trained under the James Beard Award-winning chef Norman van Aken, a founder of New American cooking, and is a veteran of respected South Florida eateries including PM Fish and Steak House and Leynia at the Delano.

The Art of Tiki

Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel has hosted South Beach Wine and Food Festivals' "The Art of Tiki" where top bartenders come to compete for the title of Tiki King or Queen.
